Whole School Approach

Whole School Approach (WSA) is a key part of Thrive work in relation to prevention and early intervention with a view to identify support and reduce escalation of need. WSA is taking a coordinated and evidenced based approach to mental health and wellbeing in schools and colleges leading to improve pupil and student emotional health and wellbeing impacting positively on learning and engagement.

In the same way that it is an expectation that safeguarding is a whole school priority and responsibility, schools are now expected to ensure there is a common ethos and understanding to support mental health and well being of children, young people and staff.

An Early Help Officer (Education) will be allocated and will contact schools in due course to offer support regarding their WSA.

In the meantime, you can make enquiries via the Thrive email here.
